Sambal terasi is a fiery Indonesian chili sauce made with dried shrimp paste, bird’s eye chilies, garlic, sugar, salt and citrus. It is often served with fried foods or as a dipping sauce. It is not for the faint of heart and is your go-to sauce if you are a huge fan of spicy food. The name ‘Sambal’ goes for all Indonesian sauces.
Ingredients : Red bird’s eye chili peppers, red curly chili peppers, shallots, garlic, tomatoes, shrimp paste, vegetable oil, salt sugar, MSG and sodium benzoate.
