Description

Mochi is a rice dish from Japanese cuisine that is traditionally eaten around New Year’s, but nowadays it is eaten all year round. They are a kind of cakes of steamed Japanese glutinous rice in pastel colors with often a round shape. Mochi is a very popular wagashi and is often served with matcha. Within the wagashi, the mochi falls under the namagashi, which have a moisture content of 30% or more
