The word ‘celor’ in Palembang Malay means soaked in hot water (seduh), then the noodles are mixed with coconut milk and a thick, savoury shrimp broth and served with sides such as boiled eggs, bean sprouts and chives. The size of the noodles used is larger than typical noodles, such as aceh noodles or udon from Japan.
